NEXUS INSIGHT!


Hey there, NEXUS Community!


After a tough workout, it’s easy to focus solely on hydration, but replenishing electrolytes is just as critical for recovery and performance. Electrolytes—such as sodium, potassium, magnesium, and calcium—help regulate muscle function, nerve signaling, and fluid balance. When you sweat, your body loses these essential minerals, and if they’re not replaced, it can lead to fatigue, cramping, and even dizziness. Whether you’re a casual jogger or a seasoned athlete, adding electrolyte-rich foods or drinks post-exercise supports faster recovery, prevents dehydration-related symptoms, and helps your body bounce back stronger for the next session. Prioritize smart hydration by pairing water with the right balance of electrolytes.

NEXUS will have a modified schedule from April 28th - May 10th!

  • No AM Classes, no open gym, no 4:30pm

  • Normal 5:15pm & 6pm classes with recovery classes at 6:45pm for these 2 weeks

  • Guest coaches!


FUNDAMENTAL MOVEMENT BREAKDOWN! 



Hello New Athletes!


One of the special things about NEXUS is that we offer a fundamentals class to help anyone at any level learn the basics of fitness! Whether you are a new member of our community, a LHDC lady's team member, or have yet to sign on with us, this class is designed just for you!


🏋️‍♂️ In the Fundamentals class, we break down the ABCs of body movements! From mastering sit-ups to perfecting pull-up modifications and swinging kettlebells with finesse, we've got it covered. Let's dive deep into injury prevention so you feel empowered to take on your fitness and/or dance technique with an educated perspective. 🧠 WHY? Because everyone deserves to move functionally and fearlessly! 💪


Join our educational fitness class May 20th from 6-7:30pm where we break down the ABCs of movements!

MEMORIAL DAY WORKOUT!



🏋️‍♂️ Get ready for an epic Memorial Day at NEXUS! 🌟 Join us on Monday, May 26th, for our annual Memorial Day Workout Extravaganza!


We're honoring tradition with the legendary "MURPH" workout, but don't worry, we've got scaled options too - HALF MURPH or BABY MURPH - so everyone can join in the fun! 💪 We'll kick off with stretching at 10am, followed by the workout sessions at 10:30am and possibly another at 11:30am, depending on community participation.


After sweating it out, refuel with some delicious BBQ grilling! Lunch will be served from 12-2pm.


Whether you're in it for the workout, the food, or the community vibe, everyone is welcome! The participation fee is $20.

SUMMER TEEN PROGRAM!



We would like you all to know about our Teen Weightlifting Camp! If you have teens, teach teens, or are friends with people who have teens and they need summer activities to get them out of the house, off electronics, and out making friends...We have the programs for them!


NEXUS will teach about strength training and take their fitness journey to the next level. Join us for an unforgettable experience packed with expert coaching, supportive camaraderie, and impressive gains!


Here's what they can look forward to at our Teen Weightlifting Camp:


Expert Coaching: Our camp is led by certified coaches who are dedicated to helping you learn proper lifting techniques, enhance your strength, and work towards achieving your fitness goals safely and effectively. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned lifter, our coaches will provide personalized guidance and support to help you reach your full potential.


Progressive Training Programs: Say goodbye to cookie-cutter workouts! Our camp features customized training programs tailored to your individual skill level and goals. From learning the basics of proper form to advancing to more complex lifts, we’ll provide workouts designed to challenge and excite you every step of the way.


Inspiring Community: Surround yourself with like-minded peers who share your passion for weightlifting and fitness!


Our camp provides a supportive and inclusive environment where they can connect with fellow teens, share experiences, and motivate each other to reach new heights. Whether they are cheering on their teammates during a lifting session or celebrating personal milestones together, they will be sure to forge lasting friendships.


🗓️ Dates: 1st Camp: June 9th-20th, MWF from 3-4pm.

2nd Camp: July 14-25th, MWF from 3-4pm


💰  Cost: $175 for the 6 sessions in each camp!

Meet NEXUS Vendor, Dr. Tessa Lowenstein of Lowenstein Chiropractic!


Dr. Tessa Lowenstein, a graduate of Cleveland University - Kansas City with her Doctor of Chiropractic, is a second-generation chiropractor serving Colorado Springs.
