Hey, NEXUS Community!

Summer is here! We know many of you are taking time off and traveling. But just because you're not at NEXUS, doesn't mean you can't keep up on your fitness goals!

Staying active and maintaining a workout routine while traveling is important for both physical and mental well-being. Fortunately, there are numerous workouts that can be done on the go, requiring minimal or no equipment. Bodyweight exercises like push-ups, squats, lunges, and planks are highly effective and can be performed in the comfort of a hotel room or even outdoors. High-intensity interval training (HIIT) workouts, which involve short bursts of intense exercise followed by periods of rest, are also ideal for travelers as they are time-efficient and can be adapted to any fitness level. Activities such as jogging, walking, or cycling are great ways to explore new surroundings while getting a cardiovascular workout. Ultimately, the key is to choose exercises that are convenient, adaptable, and enjoyable to ensure a successful fitness regimen while traveling.

Stay cool and see you soon!

Sometimes we need a body and mind reset! A Paleo 30-day challenge helps us do that by resetting our Digestive health with clean eating over 30-days. Science shows that doing a Paleo 30 provides amazing benefits to our physical, emotional, and mental health!

What is a Paleo diet?

Paleo is short for Paleolithic, which is referring to our ancestral dietary patterns. In today’s world, this represents “clean eating.

A Paleo challenge is about eating whole foods that provide better fuel to our body while avoiding processed, refined, and poor nutritional foods.

Why is NEXUS doing a Paleo 30-Challange?

Our 30-day challenge serves as a dietary preparation for optimal health during our NEXUS Community Competition. However, you can partake in our Paleo 30 whether you're signed up for the competition or not. Everyone is welcome to participate.

NEXUS is running its next round of

FMS on July 20th, 6-8pm!

The FMS is a basic movement screening that looks at how your body moves and where it might be compensating from. Knowing this helps to prevent injury in the gym and allows athletes to get serious about what they need to focus on.

The FMS evaluation comes with a copy of your results, and then a breakdown 1/1 with Owner Ashley Coffey. This 1/1 gives you specific daily movements for correcting your compensations.

If you feel like a past injury is getting in the way of your performance, or if you seem to be hitting a plateau, these evaluations will tell you everything you need to know about how to improve your fitness!
