Hello NEXUS Community!

Winter can be a difficult time of year for many people for a variety of reasons. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again - engaging in regular physical activity is a powerful and natural way to manage stress and promote mental well-being! Exercise triggers the release of endorphins, often referred to as "feel-good" hormones, which act as natural mood lifters and stress relievers. Whether it's a brisk walk, a jog, a yoga session, or a weightlifting workout, physical activity helps to reduce the levels of stress hormones like cortisol while increasing the production of neurotransmitters that contribute to a more positive outlook. Exercise also provides a valuable opportunity to break away from daily stressors, allowing individuals to focus their minds on immediate physical activity, promoting mindfulness and relaxation. Over time, incorporating regular exercise into your routine can lead to improved resilience to stress, enhanced cognitive function, and an overall better sense of well-being!
